Innovation Center in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Urban Air Mobility

Full Professor in robotics at Universidad de Sevilla. He is the Director of the Innovation Centre on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Urban Air Mobility (CUAM) of the Universidad de Sevilla, Director of the Chair of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Urban Air Mobility, elected member of the euRobotics Board of Directors, and Director of the Robot Perception and Intelligence Division of the GRVC Robotics Lab of the Universidad de Sevilla. He has combined research, technology development, and technology transfer to companies. He has authored >190 peer reviewed publications with > 6.028 cites and has been the Principal Investigator in 30 R&D projects including 13 EU projects in calls of the FP6, FP7, H2020, Horizon Europe, and EDF programmes and participated in other >50 R&D projects in aerial robotics. He has led >19 technology transfer contracts to companies (AIRBUS, TECNOBIT, UAVNavigation, NAVANTIA, and others) and participated in other >30 technology transfer contracts. He has been co-recipient of 5 international awards including the "Best Drone-Based Solution" of the 1st EU Drone Awards and the EURON/EUROP Robotics Technology Transfer Awards.
