José María García

José María García Orois is a Telecommunications Engineer from the School of Industrial and Telecommunications Engineering of Bilbao (University of the Basque Country) and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Management from EAE Business School. He also holds a postgraduate diploma from the Internet Leadership Academy at University of Oxford. In January 2025, he was appointed Executive Director of Business Development at Spanish Society for Technological Transformation (SETT). Previously, he spent a year advising on technology and telecommunications matters at the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Service and earlier worked as a telecommunications engineer at ADIF. As a consultant for the public administration, he has advised several Spanish ministries, including Industry, Science and Public Administration, and has also worked with regional and local governments. He served as Director of IT and Telecommunications for the Basque Government and has also held senior consulting leadership roles in the private sector for thirteen years.
