David leads strategy, incubation, and growth for Microsoft’s emerging technology portfolio spanning AI for R&D, Quantum Computing, and Robotics. Over his 24-year career at Microsoft, David has held a broad range of engineering and business leadership roles. He has driven the incubation of multiple multi-billion-dollar platforms, including Microsoft’s cloud developer platform and Business Applications. He led Microsoft AI’s strategy and productization efforts at its inception, helping bring AI from research to enterprise adoption at global scale. David is the author of the O’Reilly book “The AI Organization,” which explores Microsoft’s internal AI transformation journey, and he is a frequent international speaker on innovation culture, frontier technologies, and the Enterprise transformation in the AI and Quantum era.
