Damián Ruiz

Damián Ruiz Soriano is the CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) of Singular Bank, responsible for Corporate Cybersecurity Governance and the management of its Protection, Detection and Response framework. He has more than 20 years of experience in Cybersecurity across various companies, with roles including: end-customer consulting, deputy to a Cybersecurity Management department, both technical and process auditing of Detection (SIEM), Incident Management and Response (SOCs), security architectures, vulnerability management, systems hardening, and Cybersecurity governance frameworks. As Red Team Manager, he was responsible for the definition, direction, and control of Operations, knowledge management, and maintenance of attack Tactics, Techniques and Procedures, as well as support for the Blue Team in detection and response intelligence. This experience in Offensive Cybersecurity provided him with a practical, operational and realistic vision for Protection and Detection. Finally, as a trainer, he shares his vision of Cybersecurity with different private and public institutions. In the field of AI, he is a university professor and also teaches at the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), specialising in audits of models, stacks and governance.
