Cristóbal Alonso is Managing Director at Wolver Ventures, where he manages several venture capital funds and programs in the areas of Cybersecurity, Defense Technology, and Dual-Use technologies across the European Union. He is also a General Partner in several early-stage regional funds in Lithuania and Romania. Previously, he served as Global CEO and “El Patrón” of Startup Wise Guys for a decade, where he invested in more than 450 early-stage startups across sectors such as SaaS, Sustainability, XR, Cybersecurity, and Fintech, while also leading various corporate innovation initiatives in both the public and private sectors. With more than 25 years of experience as a serial entrepreneur, executive, and investor, he has led teams and projects of up to 500 people across different continents and industries. He is the author of several bestselling books on leadership and entrepreneurship. A father of three, he holds an MBA from INSEAD and is also a former professional basketball player, pianist, and a passionate amateur chef.
