Ángel Niño is the councilor for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Madrid City Council and chairman of the board of directors of Mercamadrid, where he promotes the capital as a European hub for technology and startups. He holds a degree in Management Information Systems Engineering and a degree in Business Administration and Management from Carlos III University in Madrid, as well as a master's degree in Business Intelligence and Big Data from MBIT School. Before joining the City Council, he was a strategy consultant and undertook several projects, serving as CDO of Bizwi and CEO of Distribuciones Proinla, as well as a blockchain trainer at MBIT. A born entrepreneur with a passion for innovation, he has led initiatives such as municipal entrepreneurship hubs and acceleration programs that have made Madrid a benchmark for startup incubation.
